2011 was quite a year for London born, Devon raised singer songwriter Ben Howard: His debut solo album has been a big word of mouth success with both critics and fans alike drawing favourable comparisons to esteemed folk rock contemporaries such as José González, Ray LaMontagne and Devendra Banhart as well as Howard’s one personal heroes Nick Drake and John Martyn.

On top of that, his UK tour was a sell out for all dates and his music has featured prominently in other media, most notably when his song “Promise” featured over the end credits during a Season 8 episode of the hugely popular TV drama, House.
